Welcome to our selection of South African vegan wine. With its ocean breezes and hot climates, South Africa offers some excellent wines. It grows many different grape varieties with the most prolific being Chenin Blanc. In addition, it grows reasonable amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Colombard and Shiraz. Most of the wine is grown in the Western Cape, with some notable regions such as Walker Bay, Constantia, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Elgin.
South Africa has a long history of wine producing, but this tradition does not stifle innovation and we are starting to see a trend for ecologically sound wineries and a focus on wines being vegan. For more information on what makes wine vegan, please click here.
