Villa Montes Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, ruby red in colour with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas. The wine has soft tannins and medium acidity, which makes it easy to drink. The grapes used to make this wine come from the Colchagua Valley. This is an area renowned for its red wine production. This area is particularly good for growing wine because of its ocean breezes, which give the grapes time to ripen slowly and develop in flavour. In addition, the cool night breezes create good acidity levels in the wine.

Once this has had time to breathe it is delicious. It is bursting with blackberry flavours. Possibly my favourite yet in my subscription box.

A nice rich red wine, a perfect pairing for stews and casseroles. Delicious!
