This Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine is an excellent example of a Loire Sauvignon Blanc. You get all the crispness you would expect but without the price tag associated with a Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé. The wine is pale yellow in colour with fresh aromas of green apples, citrus and a hint of sherbet. On the palate, you get fresh fruit flavours of the same, balanced with a zesty acidity.
Robert Parker claims this producer makes some of the ‘best-value Sauvignon Blancs on the planet’ and we can’t help but agree.
