This New Zealand Pinot Noir is an aromatic, fruit forward wine that uses grapes from three different Awatere vineyards. The grapes from these different locations display complimentary characteristics in terms of flavour and tannin profiles, which adds to the intensity of flavour. On the nose, you get abundant aromas of cherry, red berry fruits and plum. On the palate, you get loads of juicy red fruits mingling with some subtle savoury herby notes. The wine is medium bodied with well integrated tannins that give the wine structure, and plenty of fresh acidity. Overall, this is an elegant wine, that really demonstrates the fruit characteristics of a good Marlborough Pinot Noir. It has a long lingering finish which makes it a very enjoyable wine to drink.
